RosterBot uploads your schedule using a CSV importer. Schedules MUST be exported from Excel or Numbers into CSV (Comma Separated Value) file formats to successfully import!
IMPORTANT: Match the formatting exactly from the Template provided. What might seem to be a small change like different date formatting or leaving a cell empty can be enough to cause the import to not work.
The upload schedule feature does its best to grab as much information as we can. You can increase success by using the precise format of the Team Schedule Template.
A successful import will provide the imported schedule like below:
Location Address: The location address must be shown completely (Street address, City, Province/State, Postal Code/Zip Code, Country). RosterBot synchs with Google Maps, so if you are unsure of the exact address of your location, Google the location and copy the Street Address provided.
Date and Time: The formatting for both the date and time must be exactly as follows; YYYY/DD/MM or YYYY-DD-MM. Other sequences are not guaranteed to work or be accurate.
For Times, you must use H:MM AM/PM (7:15 AM or 12:00 PM for example).
Empty Cells: All events in RosterBot must have a: Event Title, Team 1, Division, Location Name, Location Address, Start Date, Start Time, End Date, End Time & Type. Please ensure every event has all this information filled.
Not Saving as a CSV: Your spreadsheet must be saved as a CSV in order for the imported to accept it. Saving a spreadsheet from Numbers or Excel as a CSV is quite simple. When saving, use the 'Save As' option and then select the Format: CSV (Comma Separated Values) format.
