Keep up-to-date with your team 24/7, whether it be on the web or using the RosterBot App (iPhone or Android), to find out when game's are changed, organize car pools or to discuss new game strategies.
How Does Chirp Work?
Chirp is your team's chat. Everyone on the team, or affiliated with the team via a multiple membership, can participate and receive Chirp messages.
There are 3 different ways to access your Chirp channel for your team.
- Chirp Tab
- Chirp / Activity Bar
- RosterBot App
When you select Chirp tab on the left side navigation bar, you're taken to a chatroom page where you can pick which teams you want to talk to.
On the left you can pick which team’s conversation you’d like to check in on.
Clicking the speaker icon allows you mute your team’s conversation when you don’t want to be notified of each message. This is an anonymous feature, meaning that your teammates will not know who’s muted the conversation.
If you’ve muted a conversation, don’t worry about missing out on the conversation later on; all messages are saved and can be scrolled through.*
Who is getting 'Chirped'?
You can also see which members of your team are actively involved in the conversation.
To be listed as ‘Listening’ means you are either actively in the ‘Chirp’ page of www.RosterBot.com or using the app’s version of ‘Chirp’.
Everyone, even those not ‘listening’ will still receive notifications that you’ve posted in your Chirp channel.
Activity Bar Chirp
Every RosterBot event page and every team’s Dashboard has your Chirp channel associated with the Activity bar on the right side of the screen.
This allows all players to chat with one another quickly and easily.
Your Chirp channel is located in the same area as your Activity log. They can been combined, or separated by clicking the buttons at the top of the feed.
RosterBot App Chirp
Opening your team in the iPhone app will show the same screen with tabs for Players, Events and ‘Chirp’ which is the furthest to the right.
Tap the ‘Chirp’ tab and you will see the conversation your team’s been having. You’re texts will be added in the green bubble while everyone else is red, but you can differentiate yourself with your profile photo and name.
You will also receive Push Notifications from Chirp, should your team have this feature enabled.
With Push Notifications turned on, each new message will ping your phone. In order to turn this off, simply tap the microphone icon in the top right.
