Getting your team to the game on time is the most important part of getting your game played on time, and can also be the most time-consuming process of being a manager.
After you have logged into RosterBot and selected your team, find the ‘Events’ tab on the left side navigation bar.
In RosterBot an ‘Event’ can be anything which you want your team to be aware of. So it can be a game, a practice, a team meeting, a BBQ, or team movie night.
Find the Add Event button at the top of your Events page, or from the Dashboard too.
– Our ‘Location Address’ bar is synced with Google Maps. so when you are typing in the location look for the Auto-Fill drop-down menu as you are typing. When you see your event's location in the Auto-Fill area, select it to finalize your location.
– Fill in the Description box with any notes which your team will need to know.
– If you play at the same time every week, or month, you can select ‘Recurring Event’ in the Advanced Options area.
To make custom edits to the event’s setup, outside of what your team’s default configuration is, you can do this by clicking the ‘Show Advanced Options’.
The first boxes are for the Minimum and Maximum number of players you would like for your event.
Minimum – This is the fewest amount of players you will require in order to play. If your team hasn’t reached this number with Full-Time players, your Spare list will be invited automatically.
Maximum – The most players you will allow to play. Once you’ve reached this number of players, RosterBot will prevent any one else from signing in for this event.
Next are three toggles: Spares, Positions & Open
Spares: If you have this option on, RosterBot will allow only Full-Time players to RSVP until the Spare window is opened.
Positions: If your team has Positions setup, RosterBot will allow players to sign-up for the position they’ve selected.
Open Event: If you engage this toggle, you can open your event for anyone to join by using a custom URL provided by RosterBot.
